Our community hosts both a TS3 and Discord server.
Our staff and admins are typically very lenient on what can be said, shared or typed in our TS3 and Discord, but to keep things sane, we do have some rules.
Obey staff. Staff list is:
Tim (Tim in Teamspeak, Kompy on Discord/forum)
If we say something, it's the final word. If we feel members are abusing their privileges, spamming or disrupting chat, or otherwise being malicious, we have the right to take action.
Don't spam! Do I have to explain this one?
Don't harass other members. This includes constantly poking them, harassing them via DMs, complaining if they ignore or block you, etc. Give members their 'personal space' and everything will be a-ok.
Do NOT make threats. We do NOT tolerate threats to hack, DDoS, kill, doxx, etc. If you hear or see someone making such threats to you, REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY and that user will be dealt with swiftly. We may even report these threats to local authorities depending on the severity of the threat.
Such threats will always result in a warning accompanied by a ban. This duration of the ban will depend on the seriousness of the threat. 3 threat warnings will result in a permanent ban.
Lobbys and public game channels (such as the main Minecraft server channels) are considered SFW. If you are in any of these channels, you are expected to keep topics relatively clean and, I hate to say it, 'safe for a safe space'. This is because our Lobbys are public channels, where anyone can join at any time, including children or otherwise people who may take offense to off-color jokes or comments.
If you want to meme with your friends or tell off-color/nsfw jokes, then please utilize the member-made channels. If you right click the 'Misc Game Channel', you can create a sub channel for you and your friends. In these channels, you can tell the most racist jokes on earth, and we staff members won't care.
Likewise, if you are in one of these user-made channels, please consider they may not be sfw! If you make a complaint to us about something someone said in one of these channels - unless it's life threatening - we won't take action.
Keep channels clean. Don't post memes in non-meme channels. Keep discussions related to the channel you're typing in. Some of our channels are used for serious discussion or project development, and we don't want those channels clogged with meme spam etc.
Keep NSFW stuff to the NSFW channel.
We don't have many voice channels in Discord. Please try to use TS3 for voice chat. But, if you want to use our Discord for voice chat, let us know and we can set up a channel for you.
Warnings and Bans:
Staff reserve the right to issue warnings and bans as they see fit.
Warnings use a 3 strike system. Warnings will be directly communicated to the offender and posted on the forums so other staff members can see how many warnings you have been issued.
Warnings and bans are typically localized. What this means is if you're breaking rules on our Teamspeak, your warning/ban will only be applied to Teamspeak.
There may be some extreme situations where a ban or warning is applied across the whole community, but we like to give people a chance to correct their actions without it affecting their ability to use our other services.
Warnings don't have an immediate consequence. They simply serve as a reminder that you have broken a rule, and we are keeping track. Reaching 3 warnings WILL result in a consequence, but the consequence and its severity depends on several factors, such as how quickly the warnings were issued from the last one, severity of the situation, and the offending member's 'history' with our community. It is ultimately up to the staff to determine the consequence.
