Hey everyone. I've gotten a lot of interest from people for building stuff. So, I put together this guide to show you HOW you can help, and WHAT kind of stuff needs to be built.
We are using Recurrent Complex to save our builds for later use. Please ensure you are building stuff in the flat world and not on the actual test world.
So, what do we need built? Currently, we need structures that are *non-functional*, randomly generated, and mostly useless. In other words, the structures we need built should serve little to no purpose other than decorating the world, or providing random loot or mob spawns for travelers. They can't be structures with a specific purpose - we will build those at a later time.
You can build things like ruins, empty houses, towers, dungeons, or even traps! These structures can include mob spawners, loot and things designed to hurt or help players. If you've played with mods such as Relics, Better Dungeons, Ruins - those are the type of structures I need built for this modpack.
You may also build things like stables, train stations, houses, etc that could be used as a part of a large city or town.
Keep your structures limited in size - nothing super huge. If you can keep it in a 2x2 - 4x4 chunk area, that's perfect. Making a rogue like dungeon or large maze is too big.
You can also use blocks from any mod. Use chisel, carpenters blocks, multiparts - even DecoCraft and BiblioCraft! Have fun. Go wild.
Try to keep structures themed. If it poops out rainbows and unicorns, it doesn't fit the modpack's theme. But if it's a old outpost buried halfway down in sand, that's more fitting. Or an underground dungeon with some old bones, maybe a couple potions... and a spike trap... that fits as well.
Another theme element you can build off of is that the nether is 'seeping' into the overworld. The final map will have hellgates leading to the nether in the overworld, so if you can allude to that theme, go ahead.

However, here are some quick tips:
Go into creative mode and use the floating block selector, or the block selector.
Right click to choose location 1. Ctrl right click to choose location 2. This will create a box around your build.
Then, type /#export
This will open a GUI. Name your structure and define the config options, such as limiting it to biomes, setting the Y offset, and more.
Also, if your structure is going to be underground, you MUST use negative space blocks where you want air. If you don't place negative space blocks where you want to be empty space, then actual empty space will be replaced with whatever blocks are underground when your structure generates.
Define how rare the structure is.
Once done, save your structure. If you're doing this on the test server, that's all you need to do.
If you're doing this on singleplayer, go to the modpack's directory and open the structures folder. Upload your build to a file host like Dropbox, and include the link here.
Feel free to ask any questions!

Shouldn't there be some sort of vetting system? I'm not sure if giving everyone the ability to save structures without some admin input is the best idea tbh.
We figured out people can't export structures without being OP, so Ill have to export them myself anyways. People are still free to build whatever, but be sure to section them off, and just port here or something when you've completed stuff so I can check it out.
